libfaifa-dev software package provides manage HomePlug 1.0/AV devices via ethernet frames - devel library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfaifa-dev
libfaifa-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfaifa-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfaifa-dev *
You will get with libfaifa-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
